Across this three-day workshop, you will actively participate in each stage of creating and casting your own bronze sculpture.

Day 1:
IN THE STUDIO; construct a small sculpture from cardboard, wax, and other combustible materials. The speed of this process will result in a fresh, vibrant outcome.

IN THE FOUNDRY; constructing ‘risers’ and ‘runners’, which act as the system through which the bronze will pour.

Day2:
Make INVESTMENT MOULDS using the Italian Renaissance Ludo method. Its a busy, messy, sculptural process building plaster moulds around the waxes.

Day 3:
EXPERIENCE A BRONZE POUR, whilst completing the investment moulds. Community it core to our studio activities; join us for a BBQ - assist cooking lunch over the furnace!

We will organise a return to the studio approx three weeks later, where you will pick up your finished, cast sculpture.
