Across this three-day workshop, you will actively participate in each stage of creating and casting your own bronze sculpture.

Day 1:
The first half of the first day of the workshop will be spent in the studio, constructing a small sculpture from cardboard, wax, and other combustible materials. The speed of this process will result in a fresh, vibrant outcome.

The second half of day one will be spent constructing ‘risers’ and ‘runners’, which act as the system through which the bronze will pour later on.

Day2:
On the second day of the workshop, we’ll use the Italian Renaissance Lost Wax method to build investment moulds around the sculptures.

Day 3:
On the third day, you’ll experience a bronze pour followed by a community BBQ that uses the hot lid of the furnace to cook our food.

We will organise a return to the studio approx three weeks later, where you will pick up your finished, cast sculpture.
